If you are looking for fun activities for your dog or need some help with some training in a fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere then Pawfect Ability can help. We also offer support if you are struggling with your bond with your dog.
Based in-between Frome, Bath, Trowbridge & Radstock Pawfect Ability can provide bespoke training to help you and your dog become the perfect team. Our main training venue is surrounded by working farmland in a beautiful setting. With both outdoor and indoor training facilities.
Our mission is to improve your relationship with your dog. Through kindness, understanding and appropriate activities, we aim to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for ALL dogs and ALL owners. This can be through our activity training, life skills or companion support.
Pawfect Ability is run by Emma Hendy an Animal Training Instructor and a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), membership number 01487. This means we have made a commitment to promote positive training methods in a professional way, with appropriate insurance and ongoing continuous professional development.
Pawfect Ability prides itself in training people of all abilities and dogs of all ages – from puppies to golden oldies. All of our training is tailored to each individual team, so even in our small group classes you and your dog will be learning in the best way. We don’t believe in one method fits all, and are constantly learning ourselves so you can have trust that we will be using the most modern force-free training methods.

121 training options
A 1 hour 121 training session where you and your dog take the lead and have fun. A mixture of activities can be covered.
Activities can include hoopers, parkour, scentwork, obedience or games.
Designed for all ages and abilities of dogs, you will both learn new skills, grow as a team and have fun. These sessions perfect for dogs that are not happy in a group environment.
£35/hour including online support if needed in-between booked sessions
A 1 hour 121 in-depth management and training session to help with specific training issues, puppy or adolescent training.
Topics covered can include; Lead pulling, jumping up, recall, calmness and more.
Fun, informative and effective training. Not only can I help manage this, but I will explain to you why this is happening and how to prevent it. Suitable for all ages.
£45/hour including online support if needed
An initial consultation and a block of 4 support sessions (in person or online). Creating a individual training and management plan.
This is designed for dogs that have had negative interactions with livestock.
This is a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Both educational and practical, these sessions are designed to help. Suitable for dogs and puppies of all ages.
£350 for the whole package including 24 hour support
Group training options
A 45 minute on-lead walk around the farm with training support
These walks are designed for dogs needing space. This can be reactive dogs, dogs that pull to meet other dogs, or dogs needing appropriate socialisation.
These walks are designed to be calm & controlled, but also real to life. Fun, friendly and non-judgemental.
£12/dog maximum of 6 dogs per walk. Two scheduled walks/month advertised in advance.
A 2 hour practical group workshop where your dog finds the rat.
A brand new dog sport – Barn Hunt allows your dog to hunt and sniff out the ‘rat’ in a calm & controlled straw barn environment. This is a safe outlet for a natural behaviour.
Suitable for all ages. As dogs work one at a time reactive dogs are catered for and made welcome.
£45/dog. Maximum of 6 dogs per workshop. Workshops are advertised in advance.
A range of 2 hour practical group workshops. These are for small groups of 4-6 dogs.
Activities include parkour, hoopers and focused puppy socialisation or adolescent workshops. These are often themed and come with rosettes/certificates.
These workshops will vary in their theme and suitability. They are all fun and aim to build confidence & skills.
Price will vary; £35-£50 particularly if run by an invited guest instructor. Advertised in advance
